Players of the Super Falcons received
$18,000 each, for emerging winners of the African Women Championship.
The Nigerian ladies beat Cameroon 2-0
in the final played, to lift the trophy for a record seventh time in Windoek,
Namibia.
General Secretary of the Nigeria
Football Federation, Musa Amadu, has now revealed their rewards which were
handed to them at a ministerial reception for the team in Abuja.
“We are obviously very proud of these
girls,” Musa stated. “For the group stage matches, the girls got $3000 each.
“They got $4000 for winning the
semifinals and $5000 for lifting the cup.
“So all together they got $18,000 bonus
outside their camp allowances.”
